Therapeutic Land Based Exercises.
Therapeutic land based exercises are exercises with specific goals and may or may not require the use of special equipment. The goal may be, for example, to strengthen core muscles, to improve the strength of the extensor muscles of the forelimbs, or the gluteals and hamstring muscles of the hind limb. It may be to improve proprioception of the hindlimbs, or to re-train a paralysed dog to transition from lying down to sitting, or to improve active flexion of the elbow joints. We use a combination of terrains and degrees of inclination to improve functionality, awareness, strength and range of motion.
